Story3_Lic & her long odd tail

LIC AND HER ODD LONG TAIL
"A fox girl always tried to love her own long odd hair for a long time until she met Ni, a little squirrel boy, who she helped to save animals locked by the hunters, she realized the special energy of her tail."
Do you believe in a marvelous ability from some parts of our body? Have you ever loved everything in your body?
In an old forest, there was a fox girl named Lic. She had big eyes and a very bizarre long tail. Lic was a very kind fox girl. The other fox girls often looked at her with scornful glances. Lic always felt embarrassed because of her long ugly tail. She did not know that her tail contained a special energy. Lic wished that one day she could love her own ugly long tail. However, it was so difficult because it was impossible for anyone to accept and like her tail. They always mocked and laughed at Lic every time they saw her.
One day, when Lic was walking on the path in the forest, she suddenly heard gunshots. However, Lic did not see anything except the black color of darkness. Lic wriggled for a while and dropped off to sleep.
When Lic woke up, she thought about a way to escape from this stinking bag. That thing was not too hard for a clever fox like her. Lic crept out and in front of her eyes was a very crowded bar. She stood motionless until she saw the violent hunters shouting: “Catch that fox! It is over there!” With her lightning speed, Lic dashed out.
When she was hiding, she met Ni, a little squirrel boy. Ni told her about the reason why he wandered there and his family’s death. Ni talked about crime of that group of violent hunters in city.
Lic felt very angry because of the crimes of those hunters. Surprisingly, at that moment, her long tail suddenly burst into big flames. Lic could not control her fire tail. She was so displeased and shouted: “Why should I love this odd tail?” It was unbelievable. A marvelous thing happened just at a moment when she shouted the words ”I love this odd tail”. The tail became obedient and returned into a long tail.
While Lic was worried about her tail, Ni was fond of this thing. Then he asked Lic to help him to make his friends and other animals free from those violent hunters. Lic accepted his suggestion. Lic also wanted to try and love her ugly long tail one more time in her life. She wanted to watch what her tail could do.
Then Lic went to the lair of hunters with Ni. There, she saw a lot of bodies of animals on the tables and other animals were locked in some big cages. Lic felt sorry for them and at the same time she was outraged. At that moment, her tail burst into flames again. Lic tried to calm down to avoid burning off her tail.
Then Lic decided to play prey to the hunters by standing behind the door and sticking out her long big tail. The hunters thought that it was a very big fox so they tried to chase her. Lic used her fire tail to fight the hunters and she won.
Lic smiled and turned back but she did not remember how to order her tail to stop burning. She turned to ask Ni. Ni and other animals shouted: “I love my dear tail!” She repeated after them so the fire faded out quickly. Her long tail was back to normal again. She saved all of animals that were locked in the cages. They danced around Lic and glorified her.
Lic smiled, she caressed her odd long tail and whispered: “Thank you! Now there is no reason for me to deny that I love you, my long odd tail!” Lic felt very proud of her most beautiful and greatest tail in this world. That was the first time she could ever say that she love her tail.

Story 2

THE OLD MAN AND THE MYSTERIOUS HILL

This is the story about my encounter with an old man, who lived on a mysterious hill, who taught me about life.

My childhood memories connect with the green hill, with the kites flying in the wind. It is near my house. When we were born, the hill had existed for a long time. There were a lot of emotional stories and strange people surrounding that hill. The hill is very mysterious

I remember when I was a child, my friends and I often invited each other to go to the hill to play. In fact, that hill did not have any games but we still liked going there because of our curiosity. In our view, everything there was very special and weird so every weekend we flocked to the hill. Each time we went, we discovered many strange things. Sometimes, we heard a soft voice vaguely from a distance. We also saw a very old blockhouse, whose walls were covered by layers of green mosses. We walked through large rocks and nameless tombs. All these things made the hill very mysterious.

There was a small cottage on the hillside which belonged to an old man. He lived alone and apart from our town. I still remember the first time we saw his face which was filled with a lot of long scars. We were so scared that we shouted and ran away.

Then one day, I could not find anyone to go to the hill to fly a kite with me. So I carried my kite and went to the hill alone. However, there was not enough wind so my kite could not fly. I just sat on a flagstone on the top of the hill and looked down at our little town. I heard a warm voice behind me: “What happened with your kite? Let me help you!”. I turned back feeling afraid. It was that frigtful old man whom my friends and I saw last time. I shouted and pushed him away from me. The old man just kept quiet turned to go down the hill. At that moment, I saw a tear rolling down from the corner of his eye. I ran home but I could not forget his poor face in my mind. Then instead of feeling frightful I felt remorseful. I regretted chasing away that lonely old man.

Something tragic hapenened, my father had suddenly passed away. I felt very lonely and cold. I did not come to the hill for a long time. One day, I heard my uncle talk about that old man. My uncle said that he was a very generous and patriotic person. His wife and daughter had died in a bombing by American troopa. At that time he was given the important duty from Vietnam’s army forces, so he could not protect his family. The long scar on his face was the evidence of fighting at close quarters in the war to protect his teammates. Those scars always reminded him about the pain of the death of his wife and his daughter. I felt that my pain and loneliness was incomparable to his pain.

Then I decided to come backt to the hill to find that old man. I saw him sitting with his dog and looking into the sky. I did not dare to talk to him but he exclaimed when he saw me, “Hey baby girl! You are not scared of  me, are you? I knew you would come back. Welcome to my cottage!”. I hugged the poor old man and cried. I said, “I’m so sorry for chasing you away! I’m so sorry!” His tears rolled down his wrinkled face. He then helped me to connect the wires of my kite. Since then, I often came to his small cottage to play. He told a lot of stories which happened in the hill. There was one day, I asked him a silly question: “Do those scars make you get hurt?” He just smiled, pointed to his scars and said, “I’m not hurt here but in my soul.” Then he whispered with me, “Do you know? As time passes over, things will change, some wounds will be healed but the scars will always be there in our souls.”

I left there and thought naively that one day I would find a special kind of medicine to treat his scars, and he would not be hurt anymore. Until when I grew up and stood in front of his tomb, I said to him softly, “Maybe now your scars were treated and you are living happily with your family.”

Story 1_PHAN THI MAI_2C

THE CHOICE BETWEEN DREAMLAND AND CURRENT WORLD

Tin was a 12 years old-girl. Tin had a short brown hair with a choppy face. She was quiet short. When she got angry, she always frowned at everyone. Tin rarely smiled but when she smiled, she gave her decayed tooth away. Tin also had a habit is tearing her hair as she was confused or worried. Tin liked eating pudding cakes from her mother's cooking. Tin talked to everyone with a haughty attitude so she did not have any best friend. Especially, Tin often walked with an ver affected manners. She was not friendly and it was not possible to share and sympathy for others. Tin was born in a very rich family. Her father was a business man with a busy work, so it was difficult for him to have more time to take care his hard-headed daughter. He just scolded Tin as a way to keep her far away from bad things in her life. With that disposition, Tin did not have any friend except a flashy cetonia called Jill. Tin felt bored and she hated her current life because she though that there was no one caring her. Tin dreamed about a completely different world that not liked this.

One day, Tin and her cetonia walked along the road. The children provoked her anger by their derision. She knitted her brow and threw her remaining number of acorns to them. But they seized acorns from her and said "Thank you for your acorns!". Tin shouted: " Remember! Next time will be my shoes, not the acorns!". The children just sticked out their tongues at Tin and ran away there. Tin flopped down into a footpath and looked at her little cetonia. Jill was so scared of her, so he huddled into his wings. Tin breathed a deep sigh, closed her eyes. Then she imagined about a dreamland with the white clouds and breezes arounding her.  She looked at into the sky and craved to travel there. Then she decided to leave her house to find the way to go her dreamland. Tin walked following the sunlight all day. Then she dropped off to sleep because of exhaustion. Suddenly, Tin was star led once she saw a boy with as white as snow skin, who looked like an little angle. He extended his hand and helped Tin to stand up. Tin pulled a face because she did not know who he was. He was seemed to understand her feeling, so he introduced himself and said: " I am Ten, I will take you to my kingdom of clouds! Would you like to join with us?". Tin was so happy, so she nodded assent. They flied in the space which was full of white clouds. Tin had never seen any place where like this. She could feel the warmness from her new friend. On the way, they past by small windows of the houses building by big clouds. She saw a young mother was lulling a child to sleep in the cradle. She also saw a tall and heavy father was carrying his little daughter on his back. The children here were playing in the yard like lovely angles. The elderly people were telling stories under a big tree stump. Tin wondered whether these sceneries were possible to see in her current life or not. At that moment, she was there, she did not feel lonely or boring. It was a very comfortable feeling.

Then they came to Ten's house. His parent opened the door and said hello to Tin. Tin said that she wanted to stay in their kingdom and she did not want to go back home. They asked her the reason why she decided like that. She said: "I am bored and I hated my current world there. I don't have any friend and fun. I also don't have warm embraces from my parents, they always think about money! I feel lonely there". Ten's parent were agree to keep Tin stay in their kingdom but Tin must work to earn the money for her lives. So the hard-headed girl stayed there and every day she went to forest to find the mushroom, then she also fed the rabbits. She might do many things that she had never done before. Since then, Tin changed her bad personalities day after day. Tin also did not know when she fell in line with friends here. She could throw off her haughty ego to open her heart to share her thoughts with others. Tin lived there for 2 weeks already. She remember the pudding cakes of her mother, the scolding of her father and the children near her house. She wanted to come back home. The things that she hated before, at that moment she really craved to get them again. However, she did not know how to find the way to go home. Then Tin asked Ten. He said that there was only one way but it required her bravery and determination. Ten took Tin to the boundary between 2 worlds. It was a deep abyss. Tin might use the happiest memories about family to cross it. Tin began to closed her eyes, she though about the pudding cakes of her mother  which was very soft and swinging like the floats. The scolding of her father became the ruler to make the parapet for the bridge building by pudding cakes. The memories of her childhood with the friends created the chain hooks which connect her bridge to go home. Finally, Tin ran very fast crossing the bridge and waved her hand to say goodbye to Ten. Ten smiled happily.

After crossing the bridge to come back her current world, she smelled the flavor of pudding cakes. She also heard her father's voices vaguely. She waked up suddenly and ran to the kitchen. Tin hugged her parent tightly and said: "I'm sorry! I love you so much and thank you for bringing me to this lovely life!". Then she looked at the window and smiled playfully with the children on the road.
